Application of industrial cleaning equipment in the production and maintenance of ship parts
The production quality and maintenance effect of ship parts are related to sailing safety and service life. Industrial cleaning equipment is crucial in the production and maintenance of ship parts, capable of cleaning away dirt, impurities, oil stains, and rust, ensuring part performance. Below is an introduction to its application in these two aspects.
I. Application in the Production of Ship Parts
(1) Cleaning and removing processing residue
After the processing of ship parts, metal debris, cutting fluid, and oil stains will remain on the surface. High-pressure cleaning machines utilize high-pressure water jet technology, pressurizing water to tens to hundreds of megapascals, forming a high-speed water jet through the nozzle to forcefully remove residual impurities. When producing key parts of ship engines, high-pressure cleaning machines can remove debris, preventing it from entering the engine, ensuring parts precision and surface quality, and laying the foundation for assembly.
(2) Improving the surface quality of parts
For ship parts with high surface quality requirements, such as propellers and turbine blades, ultrasonic cleaning machines have obvious advantages. It is based on high-frequency vibration to produce a cavitation effect, and the cleaning liquid forms micron-level bubbles. The collapse of bubbles produces high pressure and micro-jets, which can penetrate complex structures, clean away pollutants in gaps, improve the smoothness of parts, reduce fluid resistance, and improve operational efficiency.
(3) Ensuring the material performance of parts
Some ship parts that contact external substances may affect material properties, such as metal parts that may oxidize. Chemical cleaning equipment, together with cleaning agents, can remove the oxide layer, restoring metal activity and corrosion resistance. Controlling the concentration, temperature, and time of the chemical agent can avoid excessive corrosion, ensuring material performance stability and meeting the needs of ships in harsh environments.
II. Application in the Maintenance of Ship Parts
(1) Removing oil stains and carbon deposits
After prolonged operation of ship engines, oil stains and carbon deposits will accumulate on internal parts. High-pressure cleaning machines, combined with cleaning agents, can dissolve and flush away oil stains; for areas with severe carbon deposits, the agent is first used to soften them, and then high-pressure water is used to impact them, restoring the cleanliness of the parts, improving fuel efficiency and engine power, and reducing energy consumption.
(2) Rust removal
Ship parts are prone to rust in marine environments. Ultra-high-pressure cleaning machines increase water pressure to over 1500 bar, and high-pressure water is converted into kinetic energy through the nozzle, destroying the adhesion between the rust layer and the substrate, achieving highly efficient and rapid rust removal. Compared with sandblasting rust removal, ultra-high-pressure water rust removal is highly efficient, dust-free, and causes less damage to the part substrate, preserving structural strength.
(3) Assisting in post-maintenance cleaning and inspection of parts
After the maintenance of ship parts, residual impurities need to be cleaned. Industrial cleaning equipment can ensure that the cleanliness of parts meets the standard. The clean surface of the parts after cleaning is conducive to non-destructive testing, improving the accuracy of detection and ensuring maintenance quality and ship sailing safety.
Industrial cleaning equipment is indispensable in the production and maintenance of ship parts. Different equipment works together to support the development of the shipping industry, promoting it towards high speed, environmental protection, and high quality.
